A 2013 Theodor Suess Geisel Award winner by author and illustrator Ethan Long. The illustrations are relaxed and amusing. The colors are mellow and pleasant, which may make for a good bedtime story. Some pages fold-out with easy-to-read texts for beginning readers. A comical picture book about birds and their heights and abilities. The book begins with two birds that are comparing their heights with a twist children will enjoy. Each story is as amusing and witty as the last. Children may enjoy other books by Ethan Long such as the Clara and Clem in Outer Space and Pig has a Plan.

Reading teachers can use this as a reading activity for new readers by introducing new words or having the students guess what the story is about by clues on the front of the book.
