A picture book written and illustrated by Faith Ringgold about a little girl named Cassie that can fly. She flies all over the city above the George Washington Bridge and the ice cream factory claiming things she wants by flying over them. Cassie talks about her father and the discrimination he faces in the 1930s. The little girl tries to rectify those wrongs by flying over the building he works at and taking it for her own. A story parents and teachers can read to children to spur imagination as well as entertain. The colors are warm and rich with ornate drawings.
