A picture book written and illustrated by David Wiesner that takes the reader on an adventure that brings the reader to a picturesque pond. As we get closer and closer, the reader is met with creatures of the pond and almost instantly we see frogs hovering on lily pads. It’s a strange view that makes the reader question whether the illustrator intended to draw such a strange scene. On the very next page we are met with tens of hundreds of frogs flying above powerlines and around birds. As the story continues, suddenly, the frogs fly through a neighborhood with two story homes as a man eats a late-night snack while suspecting something unnerving outside his kitchen window. The frogs continue flying through the neighborhood while being met with strong winds. Suddenly, our amphibian friends enter a house and enjoy the creature comforts of a television. The writer lets the reader know daylight is coming and it’s time to go back to the pond. And as we are met with daylight, we see the humans collecting evidence from the frogs’ adventure and as the next Tuesday arrives, we are given a glimpse of a new flying pig adventure.
