The Interrupting Chicken is a Randolph Caldecott Medal winner of 2011 that takes place in the home of a little chicken and his father. The father tries to read his son bedtime stories, but each time the little chicken interrupts the story. The little chicken refuses to calm down each time he interrupts the end of another story, which creates frustration for his father who is desperately trying to put the little chicken to sleep. A story that will help teachers and parents alike teach a lesson of patience and empathy. This book is illustrated with vibrant colors that seamlessly blend into each other with pictures that convey a message to the reader.
